Recently I saw Oprah interview Howard Schultz. It was on her Super Soul Sunday program; a program known more for interviews with spiritual leaders. I was surprised to see Schultz as a guest, but because I've been wanting to read his book, Onward: How Starbucks fought for its Life without Losing its Soul, I settled into watch. WOW! I didn't know anything about Howard Schultz before I started watching. Now, I'd like to know more about him. What an interesting man. And a man with real character and values. A man who isn't afraid to bring his values into everything he does, including the world of business. How refreshing to see that there are actually CEOs who lead with a vision that is informed by solid values.
I was impressed and now have that book, Onward on my nightstand. You'll hear more when I finish it. In the meantime, if you can catch Oprah's interview, I recommend it. You'll be impressed too.
