Drink 'n Think discusses Rookie Smarts: Why Learning Beats Knowing in the New Game of Work by Liz Wiseman

Can you be at your best even when you don’t have experience or qualification? After decades of working, is it still possible to take on new challenges with enthusiasm and fearlessness? According to Liz Wiseman, if you have the right mindset, if you have Rookie Smarts, you can.

In this book, Wiseman explains how to recreate this mindset, arguing that there are a breed of leaders that are “perpetual rookies”. They remain alert and seeking, hungry and relentless, and cautious but quick. According to Wiseman, in this constantly changing work environment,  perpetual learning is more valuable than mastery.

You do not need to have read the book to participate in these events.  There is no charge for do-over.me members.  Others are asked for a small donation of $5.
